Cass County record questions usually belong with the government office that created or maintains the document. The routes below identify the Sheriff, jail, District Court, Circuit Court, and state agencies responsible for official criminal-history material in Cass County, Michigan.

This Is Not a Government Office. Cass County Criminal History is privately operated. It cannot obtain, correct, remove, certify, or accept filings for any government record.

Need an Official Record?

Direct the request to the custodian that holds the record:

  • Court case files: 4th District Court file room, 60296 M-62, Cassopolis, MI 49031, 269-445-4424, fourthdc@cassco.org; or 43rd Circuit Court Administration at the same building, 269-445-4412. Public-service windows are 8 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4:30 p.m. weekdays.
  • Arrest, incident, booking, and jail records: Cass County Sheriff's Office, 321 N. M-62, Cassopolis, MI 49031, 269-445-8644, sherifffoia@cassco.org, fax 269-445-0036.
  • Current jail custody: Cass County Jail at 269-445-1209 or the county-linked Michigan VINELink person search.
  • Michigan criminal history: Michigan State Police, Criminal Justice Information Center, through ICHAT or the personal fingerprint review process.
  • Prison, felony probation, and parole information: Michigan Department of Corrections through OTIS and its published contact channels.
  • Sex offender registry records: Michigan Public Sex Offender Registry; registry questions may be directed to 517-241-1806.

The Sheriff has a separate FOIA channel from Cass County's general request address. Court pleadings and orders should go to the court file room, not to the Sheriff's Office.
