Why We Built This Site
Public access is easier when the record type and office are clear. Cass County Jail keeps custody and booking material. The 4th District Court records misdemeanors and the first stage of felony matters, while the 43rd Circuit Court keeps post-bindover felony files. Michigan State Police CJIC operates ICHAT for public state criminal-history searches. MDOC maintains OTIS, and MSP manages the Michigan Public Sex Offender Registry. Bringing those official paths together reduces wrong-office requests without replacing any government record source.

What We Cannot Do
This resource is privately operated and has no affiliation with Cass County, a Michigan court, a police agency, MSP, or MDOC. Its role is limited.
- It cannot retrieve an official criminal record or perform an official background check
- It cannot accept a FOIA request, set-aside application, or court filing
- It cannot issue certified copies, alter a record, or remove a public entry
- It cannot provide legal advice about a charge, warrant, sentence, or eligibility for relief
- It cannot guarantee that an agency's hours, fees, contacts, or online status have not changed
An official record must come from the Cass County office or Michigan agency that maintains it. Confirm important information with that source.
Search Partners
Search boxes may be supplied by third-party services with their own terms, prices, and result methods. A paid signup reached through one of those tools may produce referral revenue that supports site operation. Cass County Criminal History does not set those charges or control those results.
